The Second North America “Women in Electromagnetics (WiEM)” Workshop will be held in July 8, 2012 at the 2012 IEEE AP-S/URSI International Symposium, Chicago, Illinois. This all-day workshop serves the purpose of increasing the entry and improving the retention of women in engineering and in particular aims (a) to take a positive step toward the promotion of women in this very complex, mathematically and scientifically intense field and (b) to create role models for the young female researchers and students. M.S., Ph.D., Post-doc and early stage researchers - both male and female, are invited to attend this workshop. Faculty members are welcome to attend this workshop.

Sessions in this one-day workshop will range from technical presentation skills, work-life balance issues to engineering grand challenges and will be in the form of panel discussions and presentations. Attendees will find this a stimulating, relaxed forum for technical discussions and exchange of ideas with one another.
